Dear Carrie,
AM enclosing check and statement for the year 1959. The years fly be very swiftly; can't believe that 1960 is practically around the corner.
Talked to Bobbie this morning and she said that you looked wonderful. Keep up the good work. I haven't seen Saide in ages. I talk with her on the phone; she is the busiest person!! Gert Meyer sold her home in the valley; I presume you know that her husband passed away about five or six months ago. She lives in an apartment on Doheny Avenue and Gregory Way, not too far from Wilshire Blvd. Has a very lovely Apartment. I was there the other day; She saw the lace tablecloths that my friend sells to raise money to support the blind veterans at Sautelle Hospital and wanted me to get one for her, that is how I happened to see her apartment.
Incidentally, she asked about you and whether you are planning on coming here soon. She thought you might be interested in sub-letting her apartment as she is going East somewhere. I told her I had no knowledge of what your plans were, but that in the event you did decide to come her apartment was too far east; that you would prefer an apartment that had a pool. She said her transportation was very handy and that you could take the Wilshire bus. What are your plans?
Are you contemplating coming to L.A. Our weather has been simply wonderful; Haven't had a speck of rain thus far, temperatures in the high Seventies and eighties.
have you hear ho Uncle Lou is doing and have you heard anything about Mary? I heard she is not a Wassons any longer. I cannot believe this is so.
How are all the family? Is Adele feeling better? I'll expect a nice long newsy letter in the very future. Have a stack of work at the desk, so must sign off now. The Smiths join me in sending love to all the family.
